Im Hezron Ashton, welcome to my author site! I create stories for children, and the inner child within us all. Like many children, I loved drawing when I was young. Many of my family members were artist who draw & or paint, so my family was my first influence into the artistic world. It wouldn't be until my adult years before I began to fully appreciate the gift and value of "picture making." As a highly imaginative child, I'd tell stories, largely to myself as early as 5. For example I remember being afraid to go to sleep because I'd convinced myself that the shadow outside my window was a wicked witch, not the silhouette of branches hanging from a nearby tree. Or the story where I had convinced myself that my favorite teddy bear, Spunk, would come alive while I was asleep because he'd seemingly be in different places than where I'd remember placing him before I fell asleep. These days, I've combined my love of storytelling and drawing! Whether leaving the theater of my mind or simply inviting the world inside, there are plenty of positives to creating from this mystical place.
